It’s like am lost in the desert
trapped in force field of feelings..
..feelingsĀ we call love…and
everytime I look back…
my mind’s mind thinks deep….
and then the question pops up…
what if it happens again?
and even though am blinded
by the effects of this force field
my minds eye tends to see things..
things which are not really there..
as if they are things to come…
or is it just a vision my mind creates
out of fear?
My heart is like glass,if not handled with care
it can slip, fall and break…and the pieces are very hard to
put back together….
what goes around comes around
what goes around comes around
it can come back with a frown
it can come back with a pound
so heavy it’ll knock u to the ground
even though it can put u down
it can also come with mounds
of blessings u’ll be happy as a clown
When karma comes to you town
dont complain a sound
cuz you musta done somen
to make it come back around
its the Love that keeps us together
It’s the love that keeps us together
any day and every kinda weather
its feels smooth to touch
just like genuine leather
When times are catastropic
she’s all that makes me better
I wear her like a sweater
In her hands my heart
has found a shelter
even though I’m scared
the fact that she draws me nearer
afraid that this love will die
like glass it might shatter
I bend down on my knees
and say a prayer
That God Almighty
will keep us together
for it’s the love that keeps us together
It’s this spiritual bond
that makes us greater
HIP HOP – a curse or a blessing
Hip hop is a multicultural genre of music, extremely influentual. We say it’s essence is to unite, educate and pave a positive path for the young and old,but lets face it here,we all know hip hop has gone astray.Turn on your favorite hip hop channel and tell me if the first ten videos you watch, matter of fact, any video has any positive impact in your life.Well?…..has it?…..I doubt because these days hip hop is all about flashy cars, naked women dancing around defining the word female as sluts, and ofcourse the rapper, who has spent a whole life savings on a chain, earring, and braclet and is encouraging us to either sniff lines of cocaine to kill for it or some other violent thing. It’s funny how we complain about kids stabbing each other and killing each other when we can clearly see what the cause is.I’m not hating though,I love to live large myself but em,lets be real here,HIP HOP IS DEAD.
I was taking a stroll one day and I put my headphones in my ears, turned my Ipod on and as usual I started running through all the hip hop tracks. Now,I listened song after song and all I ever heard was “I’m a killer”,”I’m a baller”,”I sell crack”,”I got freaks”,”shorty get on your knees and gimmie head”….etc.When I heard some songs that were supposed to be inspiring me to achieve things in life,I felt even worse, the songs were all about selling drugs or robbing people for a living. It’s easy to say your hard or your grind’n until your a victim.Yes you want to be a killer or whatever but did you ever think YOU could get shot?stabbed?sliced?bombed?and die?these are questions we should ask rappers and questions you should ask yourself. Now let me ask,why are is it that the rappers who don’t curse or talk about negativity are the under rated ones???why is it that they never get awards?why is lil wayne selling 1million copies of a cd full of rubbish in a week?why is 50 cents mumbling crap and yet we see him as a person?I’ll tell you why,it’s because its so easy to be evil and live life on the fast lane than it is to actuall be a sane person with moral values and a purpose in life.they say they are from the hood and had it rough so thats why they are the way they are,but who isn’t?I’m from a worse ghetto than compton.Trust me there is alot of karma in this too because maybe one day,you will see the light and change yourself but….what about your kids to come?where are they going to get some good examples from?how are they going to feel safe in school when they know that if they try to stand up for themselves they might lose their lives.Eventually they will give in because as the saying goes “if you can’t beat em then you join em” and slowly you will watch you child turn into something very uncontrollable…..all because of hip hop….no no no…all because of hip hops sudden change of direction which you can fix but….you are just to ignorant to try.
Now,I believe that there is a solution to every problem and now that it is clear that something is wrong lets try to put our minds together not just to bring hip hop back to life but to make life easier for ourselves.I’m a hip hop artist myself and am starting this change. The question is….are you with me??
